The Online Course

When race is mentioned, you can feel it in your body—the pit in your stomach, the lump in your throat. These are reminders that our world is overdue for a conversation about systemic racism. Though you may have fallen silent on these issues for fear of saying the the wrong thing, shame that you may be complacent, or even feeling lost about the nuances, The Conversation Workshops creates space that actively promotes bravery over fear, acknowledgement over shame, and education over confusion.

We hope you will lean in to this moment for self reflection, truth-telling, and calling others in.

If you have found yourself asking, “What can I do about racism in America?” we have clear action points to share with you through this online course.

Course Contents

When you purchase the course, you will create your own portal and login so that you can work at your own pace. Videos of our facilitators will guide you through 15 lessons and self-reflective exercises. Along the way, you will learn Invitational Discussion, which we developed to assist our course participants in navigating person-to-person conversations about systemic racism. Finally, we will help you think through ways you can impact your sphere of influence as you pursue interpersonal activism.

Each part respectively is designed to help attendees confront their own implicit biases, practice a dialogue style for engaging difficult conversations, and engage their pre-existing communities with positive change.

It is our vision to create change from the grass-roots level up by empowering participants with useful reflection, information, and strategies for our current climate.
